Construction is now complete on the new Southside Community Step Up Step Down (SCSUSD) mental health facility and is scheduled to be opened in the first quarter of 2021.
About the SCSUSD service
The SCSUSD service is a community-based mental health service that provides specialist care for people aged between 18 and 65 years of age needing additional support who cannot live safely in their usual home environment. The model of care for this service focuses on prevention and recovery care and has proven very successful in the ACT.
The Southside Community Step Up Step Down Mental Health facility is nearing the final stages of construction with a September 2020 completion date. More information will be provided as the service gets closer to becoming operational.
