Directions – Arcadia House

Arcadia House detox, residential and day programs provide clients with the resources they need to successfully withdraw and abstain from alcohol and other drugs and to assist in developing positive life skills. The service is available to people aged 18 years and over.

Catholic Care Canberra and Goulburn – Alcohol and Drug Services

Catholic Care Canberra and Goulburn have been providing specialist alcohol and other drug programs (AOD) to the Canberra community for over 10 years. Catholic Care employ qualified alcohol, tobacco and other drug workers who provide a professional, non-judgmental service following a harm minimisation approach.

Services include:

  • Sobering Up Shelter - Reaching Out Program
  • Outreach AOD counselling for people over the age of 13 years

Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation and Advocacy

Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation and Advocacy (CAHMA) provides a specialist drug treatment service which operates on a peer based, person centred philosophy. CAHMA runs numerous services in the community.

These include The Connection (their indigenous service), various community development programs, peer education courses and workshops, case management services, art projects, and a medical clinic.
