With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and life in Canberra slowly returning to a degree of ‘normal’, it’s important that we take the time to reflect on our mental health and think about how we can continue to care for each other during this time of change.
Designed to support recovery, build resilience and create meaningful social connections, the MHWIGP has been established to encourage creative and effective ideas that support mental health and wellbeing as we continue to rebuild from the impacts of the pandemic. The grants, which total $350 000, are a part of the $4.5 million mental health support package announced by the ACT Government in May.
Tapping into the innovative and creative expertise of our local communities, organisations and individuals, the program is part of the ACT’s journey towards recovery.
Applications from eligible organisations, community groups and individuals with innovative, out-of-the box ideas are encouraged.
The Grants opened on Monday 29 June 2020 with applications accepted until midday 17 July 2020.
Successful Grants will be announced by 17 August 2020.
