Our Eating Disorders Program is a community-based service. We provide assessment and treatment for people who live in the ACT and have an eating disorder such as Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa or Binge Eating.
About this service
We are a specialist outpatient therapy service. We work with individuals and their families whose primary presenting issue is an eating disorder.
We provide evidence based psychological treatment options such as Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as indicated.
You can read more about these treatments on the Centre for Clinical Interventions website:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Family Based Therapy (FBT)
We are not a medical or crisis service, so it is important that you continue to be reviewed by your GP while you’re part of our program.
Who we care for
We offer free services to people who live in the ACT and are deemed clinically appropriate for treatment by the Eating Disorders Clinical Hub.
We work with people of all ages and we are a voluntary service.
Our services are free if you have a Medicare Card.
