Immunisation is one of the most effective healthcare interventions. Getting vaccinated not only helps protect yourself but also those around you by increasing the level of immunity in the population.

It’s estimated that immunisation programs worldwide prevent approximately 2.5 million deaths every year.

All vaccines in Australia undergo extensive research and are approved for use under the Therapeutic Goods Administration. Vaccines are tested over several years before they are licensed to ensure safety and quality.

If you do experience an adverse reaction following an immunisation (AEFI), please complete the Immunisation Adverse Event Reaction Form or call our Immunisation Unit on 02 6205 2300.

Free vaccines are available for children aged 6 months to under 5 years (flu), teenagers aged 16-19 (meningococcal disease), and people over 70 (Shingles (Herpes Zoster).
