The ACT Health Promotion Grants Program (ACTHPGP) helps to improve the health of Canberrans and minimise the risk of them developing chronic diseases.
We offer grants to community-based organisations through Healthy Canberra Grants and the Health Promotion Innovation Fund. This funding supports programs and projects that improve health outcomes in the following areas:
- supporting healthy ageing
- reducing smoking-related harm
- reducing alcohol-related harm
- reducing overweight and obesity through improved eating habits and increased physical activity
Current funding opportunities
OPEN NOW – Healthy Canberra Grants: Focus on Reducing Alcohol-Related Harm
Provides funding for community-based activities, with a particular focus on preventing and reducing harm from alcohol consumption. Up to $1.38 million is available to support multiyear programs delivered up to June 2021.
OPEN NOW – Healthy Canberra Grants: Focus on Preventing Diabetes
Provides funding for community-based activities, with a particular focus on encouraging healthy lifestyles to prevent diabetes. Up to $1.33 million is available to support programs delivered up to June 2020.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the relevant funding guidelines for more information and to assist with application preparation.
Applications for both funding opportunities close 4pm Friday 7 December 2018.
