Our Adult Mental Health Day Service is a free day program that helps people in their mental health recovery journey.

About this service

We offer a variety of programs to help you if you’re experiencing moderate or severe mental illness. Each program is designed to enhance your quality of life, improve symptom management, and/or increase your capacity to live in the community.

These programs include:

  • psychoeducation
  • living skills programs
  • creative and healthy lifestyle groups
  • group and individual psychological interventions
  • peer support.

Who we care for

We care for people who are engaged with one of our mental health treating teams such as a Community Recovery Service or if you are an inpatient within the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit at the University of Canberra Hospital.

How to access this service

You need a referral to access this service. We accept referrals for people currently receiving treatment from Canberra Health Services' Mental Health teams in the ACT.

If you use these services speak with your clinical manager about a referral. Your treating team will send the referral directly to us.

After your Community Recovery Service or other mental health team makes a referral, we will be in touch to discuss which groups you may be interested in.
