Canberra Hospital is located on Yamba Drive (between Hindmarsh Drive and Kitchener Street) in the ACT suburb of Garran.
There are a number of car parks on the hospital campus and near to it, but most visitors park in the Multi-storey Car Park adjacent to the Canberra Region Cancer Centre (see the map) at the southern end of the hospital campus or in the Yamba Drive Car Park.
Canberra Hospital is quite a busy place, so make sure you leave yourself enough time to find a car park so that you get to your destination on time. Once you’ve found a car park, you can travel across the hospital campus on our free Courtesy Bus, which leaves from six easy locations between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
There are over 180 mobility parking spaces available throughout the campus.
You can access mobility parking at:
Levels 1-4 of the Southern Multistorey carpark
behind the National Capital Private Hospital
under Building 12
within the small carpark on Bateson Road
at the entrance to the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children and
outside the Emergency Department.
Please note: A number of mobility spaces are time limited and time limits are enforced by Parking Officers under the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 2000.
Mobility spaces in the Southern Multi-storey Car Park are not time limited. If you are coming to Canberra Hospital for a long time, we suggest you park here and catch the courtesy bus to your appointment.
We offer a free courtesy bus to help patients, visitors and staff travel across the hospital campus with ease. The service operates Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, except on weekends and public holidays.
Courtesy bus stops are located at the Emergency Department, Canberra Region Cancer Centre, Bateson Road (across from the Adult Mental Health Unit), Building 15 (Hospital Road), Canberra Hospital main entry (Building 2) and outside the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.
Please look for the pick-up and drop-off signage to help you easily navigate to each stop. Our bus accommodates 15 people and is wheelchair accessible. You can track the bus on the map below. You can also download a Higher Resolution Map.
