Latest news - Thursday 4 June 2020
From Thursday 4 June, patients at Calvary Bruce Public Hospital, Calvary Bruce Private Hospital and Calvary John James Private Hospital can have two visitors. Only one visitor can be with a patient at any time.
Children aged 17 and under who are staying in hospital can have one parent or carer with them at all times. They can also have an extra visitor who can join them for up to 1 hour each day.
Women admitted for care related to birthing may have up to two support people present. This needs to be pre-planned with their midwife and/or obstetrician.
Physical distancing and good hand hygiene must be practised at all times.
Visitors who are unwell will not be allowed to visit and are encouraged to contact patients in other ways.
Compassionate exceptions to the visitor policy will continue to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
