We've searched the city for Canberrans who are passionate about making easy, tasty, delicious healthier recipes. After two epic Cook Off events we are pleased to announce the winners.
Little Chef Winner – Lola, aged 11 (San choy bau)
Lola made it clear to Ned (from Hit 104.7's Ned and Josh show) that she was the head chef in their cooking team. Her San Choy Bau was such a hit that Ian the CEO from the Southern Cross Club declared that her recipe must feature as a special on their menu! Congratulations again Lola.
Teen Chef Winner – Sebastian, aged 17 (Tasty lettuce snack cups)
Sebastian wants to be a chef when he finishes college. His recipe will no doubt be the first of many scrumptious creations. The judges melted in their seats as they sampled his Tasty Lettuce Snack Cups. Sebastian told us that he created this recipe one afternoon from what he found in the pantry and fridge when his mates declared they were hungry and wanted to order a pizza! Great work Sebastian, you're an inspiration!
Stripped Back Chef - Mary (Mince burger wrap)
Mary wowed the foodies at the Capital Region Farmers Market with her Middle Eastern inspired Minced 'Burger' Wraps. She was absolutely thrilled that her passion for delicious, budget friendly, healthier food has paid off as she landed the top prize.
The winners have taken home some great prizes from the National Zoo and Aquarium, The Bank Indoor Skate Park, Riddle Room, Questacon, Bison Home, Pushys Fyshwick and Burning Log Mega Store.
