The enterprise agreement will operate from 30 May 2014 and has an expiry date of 30 June 2017.

ACT Public Sector Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017

Update

The ACT Public Sector Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 28 Oct 2014.

The enterprise agreement will operate from 4 Nov 2014 and has an expiry date of 30 June 2017.

The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

  • Year 1 (2013-14): a single $2090 flat increase in salary rates OR a 2% increase in salary rates – whichever is the greater; and
  • Year 2 (2014-15): two 1.5% increases in salary rates payable from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2014 and 1 April 2015; and
  • Year 3 (2015-16): two 1.5% increases in salary rates payable from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2015 and 1 April 2016; and
  • Year 4 (2016-17): two 1.5% increases in salary rates payable from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2016 and 1 April 2017.

Shared Services have advised that the pay increases for the classifications covered by this agreement will be paid as follows:

  • rates of pay for all classifications covered by this agreement will be updated to reflect the 1 July 2013 and 1 July 2014 increases and be included in pay slips from 20 Nov 2014; and
  • back pay from 1 July 2013 will be paid on pay day 4 Dec 2014.

Update

The ACT Public Sector Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2017 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 21 Jan 2016.

The Enterprise Agreement will operate from 27 Jan 2016 and has an expiry date of 30 June 2017.

The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

  • Year 1 (2013-2014): a single $2,090 flat increase across all classifications OR a 2% increase to salary rates, whichever is the greater; and 
    • 2% increases to applicable allowances from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2013.
  • Year 2 (2014-2015): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2014; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2015.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
  • Year 3 (2015-2016): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2015; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2016.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
  • Year 4 (2016-2017): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2016; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2017.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
Casual loading increases from 20% to 22.5% from commencement of agreement, with a further increase to 25% from 1 July 2015 (Clause 23).

Coverage

The agreement covers all medical Practitioners employed by the Health Directorate and Calvary Public Health Care ACT Inc (this does not include Visiting Medical Officers).

Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement

Coverage

The agreement covers all Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing employed by the Health Directorate and Calvary Public Health Care ACT Inc.

ACT Public Service Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017

The current agreement came into effect on 25 Mar 2014. The Enterprise Agreement will provide a solid set of employment conditions for nurses and midwives in the ACTPS over the next 3 ½ years.

ACTPS Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017

This Agreement replaces the ACT Public Service Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement 2011-2013.

The Agreement provides for an 12% pay increase over 4 years, with the first increase payable in the first pay period on or after 1 July 2013. A complete summary of the changes from the previous agreement can be found below.
