The ACT Government is committed to making its information, services, events and venues as accessible as possible.

This website aims to conform to Level A (and in parts, Double A) of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2 (WCAG 2.0), developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

The website is designed to display on all commonly used Internet browsers and to work effectively with accessibility hardware and/or software. To accommodate a range of connection speeds, page sizes have been kept to a minimum. Our web pages are scalable to accommodate various common screen resolutions.

Downloadable Documents

This website has a limited number of documents that cannot be provided in HTML format. Also, to assist users to download and share web content, some documents are available in Portable Document Format (PDF). We have taken steps to ensure where possible that alternate formats are available. To access PDF files download the free Acrobat Reader.

The file type and size of downloadable documents is indicated via an icon or text alongside the document link.

Help Increasing the Text Size in Your Web Browser

To make text bigger, press two keys at the same time:

  • Ctrl and + keys in Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS
  •  and + keys in Mac OS

Change Text Size with Zoom

Most web browsers let you increase and decrease the size of text, images, and other web page content with "zoom" features. Some browsers let you choose to zoom only the text size.

To change the zoom in most browsers, press the following two keys at the same time:

  • In Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS:
    • To zoom bigger: "Ctrl" and "+" keys
    • To zoom smaller: "Ctrl" and "-" keys
  • Mac OS:
    • To zoom bigger: "⌘" and "+" keys
    • To zoom smaller: "⌘" and "-" keys

Other Text and Color Changes

Some browsers provide functionality to set different aspects of font and color in the default view.

Other text and color settings are available in Reader View.

Reader View

Most browsers offer a “Reader View” or “Reading View” that shows just the main content; it gets rid of navigation, ads, etc. Some browsers let you set the text font, text size, text color, background color, and line spacing in Reader View.
