The ACT Health Promotion Grants Program (ACTHPGP) helps to improve the health of Canberrans and minimise the risk of them developing chronic diseases.
We offer grants to community-based organisations through Healthy Canberra Grants and the Health Promotion Innovation Fund. This funding supports programs and projects that improve health outcomes in the following areas:
- supporting healthy ageing
- reducing smoking-related harm
- reducing alcohol-related harm
- reducing overweight and obesity through improved eating habits and increased physical activity
Current funding opportunities
OPEN NOW: 2019/20 – 2021/22 Healthy Canberra Grants
Applications are sought for community-based initiatives that will improve population level health outcomes by addressing risk factors for chronic disease such as alcohol and tobacco use, poor diet and physical activity levels, and overweight and obesity. Healthy Canberra Grants also has a specific aim of supporting healthy ageing, by addressing these risk factors. Up to $1.9 million is available to support programs of up to three years duration, commencing in the 2019/20 financial year.
Applications are due by 4pm Friday 24 May 2019. Late applications will not be accepted.
An information session about the 2019/20 – 2021/22 Healthy Canberra Grants will be held on Monday 15 April 2019 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm at ACT Health’s Bowes Training and Conference Centre, 2 Bowes Street, Phillip. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 02 5124 9456.
