Our Little Chef finalists
For 8 to 12 year olds who love to create simple, healthy recipes or add a healthier twist on an old favourite.
Congratulations to Lola, our Little Chef winner who cooked her special San Choy Bau.
Our four finalists battled it out on Tuesday 3 December 2019 at Henry’s Restaurant at the Canberra Southern Cross Club. They were paired with our celebrity chefs:
- Vanessa Low, Paralympic Gold medal winner
- Ned and Josh from Canberra FM Radio
- Kristy Wallace, Basketball player for the University of Canberra Capitals.

Oscar – Prawn, fettucine and rocket salad
Likes to do one thing, cook! He’s been cooking since he was three. Oscar thinks that you could find his family in the dark because they eat so many carrots! He wants to encourage everyone to take part in a happier and healthier way of cooking.

Luke – Veggie snap balls
Loves soccer, swimming and making paper planes. He loves cooking his healthier recipes because veggies give him strength and speed.

Lily – Rainbow topped potato pieces
Has been inspired by her cooking program at school! She wants to be Canberra’s Little Chef to expand her cooking knowledge.

WINNER – Lola – San choy bau
Loves cooking because there’s no wrong or right result. Lola believes that sometimes a mistake can make her recipes even more delicious!
