Pharmaceutical Services is responsible for distributing information across the ACT community about medicines and therapeutic goods recalls. This ensures the public is protected from potential harms associated with the use of sub-standard or unsafe products.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is Australia’s regulatory authority for therapeutic goods such as prescription medicines and vaccines. The TGA may recall marketed therapeutic products where there are concerns related to the safety, quality, efficacy or presentation. Complaints about medicines, therapeutic goods or faulty products should be referred to the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
