GP Taskforce

On 26 March, 2009 the ACT Minister for Health Katy Gallagher MLA announced that the Government would establish a GP taskforce to investigate GP workforce issues in Canberra, in light of several recent and sudden closures of suburban practices.

The GP Taskforce has been charged with the responsibility of investigating options and innovations for improving access to primary health care in the ACT and reporting back to the ACT Legislative Assembly in late 2009 with its recommendations.
