Choosing to birth at Centenary Hospital for Women and Children
Congratulations - You're Pregnant - Where to from here?
There are many considerations when you discover you are pregnant including where to birth your baby and the type of pregnancy care you might like to receive. There are several options for pregnancy care in the ACT that your GP will be able to discuss with you.
Your GP is your first point of call on discovering you are pregnant.
It is important to see your GP to discuss your complete medical history and your current pregnancy.
The GP will organise initial blood tests and ultrasounds as required.
Women planning to birth at the Centenary Hospital for Women & Children need to be referred by their GP.
This referral should include all relevant personal and medical details to enable us to contact you and offer the most appropriate level of care to your individual situation.
