What to expect

Healthy Eating and Overweight or Obesity Referrals

We will call you within four weeks of receiving your referral. One of our nutrition assistants will identify the right service for you during this call.

We offer a group session for people wanting to follow a healthier diet. The session explores a healthy approach to eating, provides up-to-date nutrition advice and offers practical healthy eating tips.

If this group session is not suitable for you, we will discuss alternative services with you.

Other Nutrition Referrals

Our Central Health Intake team will book you into an individual appointment. Please allow one hour for this initial appointment.

At your appointment we will ask you about your current food intake and any medical conditions so we can give you information to support you with dietary changes.

What to bring to your appointment

  • Any letters or correspondence from your GP
  • List of medicines you are currently taking (or the boxes), including medicines you have bought without a prescription, such as herbal supplements and vitamins

Where we’re located

If it is not possible for you to attend a health centre, we offer telehealth services or can visit you at home.
