We are a community health based social work counselling and support service.
About this service
We are appointment-based social work service, rather than a crisis service.
We can assist you with:
- counselling support for the emotional and social adjustments you may be going through, such as anxiety, stress and/or depression
- information and advocacy for practical matters such as accommodation changes, transport, income and financial pressures
- referrals that help to connect you with services and supports both within the health system and the community
- understanding the impact your health condition is having on you and your family
- counselling support for you as a carer
- grief, loss and bereavement counselling.
Appointments can be face-to-face or by telephone. We can arrange home visits if you are unable to attend the community centre for any reason.
Who we care for
Our service is for ACT residents who are not receiving counselling or social work elsewhere.
The service is also for partners, family members, carers and others who may be affected by the health condition of their family member.
