Community education

Mental Health ACT is committed to providing the Canberra Community with information on mental health and mental illness.

Our aim is to improve Mental Health literacy of the community.

Mental Health literacy

Mental Health literacy is the ability to recognise specific disorders, knowing risk factors, causes and treatments, and knowing how to seek further information and where to get help.

We also aim to decrease stigma and create attitudes that promote recognition and appropriate help seeking.

Education and training is delivered by experienced mental health professionals.
