Women's Health Service

The ACT Women’s Health Service is a unique service for women in the ACT and region provided for women by women. Our purpose is to provide a safe and accessible service that facilitates health and wellbeing across the life span.

The Women’s Health Service team works together with you to provide high quality, comprehensive health care to meet your individual needs.

About the Women's Health Service

The ACT Women’s Health Service (WHS) provides a range of nursing, medical and counselling services for women by women, from locations in Civic, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Phillip and Belconnen.

Who can use this service?

The Women’s Health Service understands that disadvantage and vulnerability contributes to poor physical and emotional health for many women in our community.

For this reason we give priority to women who experience significant barriers to health service access. These barriers may include, but are not limited to, the impact of violence, social or economic disadvantage, disability, language, culture, sexuality or isolation.

Service access

The ACT Women’s Health Service is open from 8.30am – 4.45pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays and between Christmas Day and the first working day in the New Year.

Contact the service by calling (02) 6205 1078 between these hours.
