University and Higher Education Opportunities

If you haven’t yet started your career in nursing or midwifery, there are a number of courses on offer through the ACT university and higher education sector.

Programs and Scholarships

The Graduate Midwife Program is open to eligible midwives who enjoy working in a team environment. This is run through the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children

Our Transition to practice (TTPP) graduate program aims to give new graduate enrolled and registered nurses an opportunity to combine their knowledge and skills and develop clinical competence. The ACT Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards celebrate the contribution made by nurses and midwives across our region. The Awards recognise outstanding professional accomplishments made within the ACT’s public and private hospitals and community and primary health care sectors.
