provided Haemodialysis (cleaning of the blood by a machine when the patient’s own kidneys are no longer able to perform this function) is offered during the day at both Belconnen and Tuggeranong locations.
Nocturnal dialysis (doing the treatment overnight whilst the patient sleeps) will soon be available at Belconnen to enable patients who work or have other responsibilities during day.
Who can use this service?
- Patients referred to and managed by The Renal Network are able to use this service.
- Patients are referred by their General Practitioner to Renal Services and will be supported in their transition to commencing dialysis.
This service is free to Medicare and Asylum Seeker card holders.
