    Annual Report 2007-08 released (30 September 2008)

    2007–08 was a year of major achievements and records for ACT Health. Our combined hospital and health service delivery outputs have never been higher. Overall casemix-adjusted hospital activity recorded a 9 per cent increase over the previous year.

    Mental Health Services Plan (2008 -2013) - Consultation Draft (10 September 2008)

    The draft ACT Mental Health Services Plan 2008-2013 has been released for community consultation with a closing date of 21 November 2008.

    Chief Health Officer's Report 2008 (29 August 2008)

    This report provides an account of the health and wellbeing of the ACT population during the period 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2006.

    ACT Public Health Forum 2008 (27 August 2008)

    A forum for people interested in contributing to public health thinking and practice in our region. Its an opportunity for people working in public health, health promotion and primary health care in the region to display and discuss their work, network and learn from each other.

    Chronic Fatigue Syndrome self help course (5 August 2008)

    The ACT Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society runs a Self-Help Course as an eight week program with a two hour session per week beginning this September. For more information or to register, please contact SHOUT on (02) 6290 1984.

    Talk about weight - free nutrition program (30 July 2008)

    Talk about Weight is a free 2 week program run by ACT Health dietitians at various locations throughout the year. The program is for parents of 2-12 year old children who may be concerned about their child being or becoming overweight.

    New online gateway to health training (10 July 2008)

    A new online Training Management System Capabiliti for managing training and education will ensure our health professionals keep their skills and knowledge on the cutting edge.

    Stepping on ... Falls prevention and education for the over 70's (7 July 2008)

    Stepping on … covers important aspects of falls and injury prevention, and aims to help older adults identify and address their own falls risk factors. The seven week program runs from 10.30am-12.30pm, Wednesday mornings commencing August 6th at the Independent Living Centre.
