    Smoking in cars when children are present - Community Consultation (2 January 2009)

    The ACT Health Minister has released a consultation paper, which canvasses options for prohibiting smoking in motor vehicles when children are present. This consultation closes on 27 February.

    Walk-in Centres - community forums (20 November 2008)

    In the 2008-09 Budget, the ACT Government provided funds for ACT Health to undertake a feasibility study regarding the establishment of Walk-in Centres (WiCs). Two public forums are scheduled, one Northside and one Southside, to enable as many people as possible to attend a discussion about how WiCs might work in the ACT.

    Want to reduce your risk of heart disease? (7 November 2008)

    Heart Fare is a free program designed to assist people with cardiovascular disease risk factors e.g. high cholesterol, high blood pressure. The next session will be held on Thursday 27th November and 4th December from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Belconnen Health Centre in the Canberra suburb of Belconnen.

    Health Status of Women in the ACT (2 October 2008)

    This report provides a profile of the health status of women in the ACT, together with health service utilisation, demographic trends and the planning and policy context of women's health.

    Free Nutrition Program for ACT Residents (30 September 2008)

    Food for Thought is a free program, held one day a week for 7 weeks, conducted by ACT Health Dietitians in conjunction with a Physiotherapist and Psychologist. The next program will be held on Tuesdays commencing 4pm to 5.30pm on 7 October at Belconnen Health Centre.
