The Aged Care and Rehabilitation Service (ACRS) integrates ACT Health's aged care and rehabilitation services, with the ultimate goal of improving service quality and accessibility.

ACRS services include prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, support and rehabilitation for older people and people experiencing disability following an illness / trauma.

ACRS Kambah community precinct

The following Aged Care and Rehabilitation services are moving to Kambah:

  • Transitional Therapy Care program
  • Equipment Services (Equipment Loan Service, ACT Equipment Subsidy Scheme, ACT Continence Scheme and Domiciliary Oxygen and Respiratory Support Scheme)
  • Aged Care and Rehabilitation Service Intake Service
  • Independent Living Centre
  • Clinical Technology (Prosthetics and Orthotics, Specialised Wheelchair and Posture Seating and Rehabilitation Engineering)
  • Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation Service

From 01 May 2009, ACT Health is Smoke free. ACT Health is dedicated to protecting healthcare consumers, visitors and staff from the harmful effects of tobacco smoke. Smoking is not allowed at any ACT Health facility, except in a designated outdoor smoking area.

ACRS provides inpatient services at ACT public hospitals, which you can only access by referral from your Doctor.

You can access our community based services through the Community Health Intake (CHI) phone service on (02) 6207 9977.
