The Clinical Service Improvement Unit is compromised of the Intensive Care and Emergency Care Networks and the Early Recognition of the Deteriorating Patient Program. The purpose of the networks is to develop and facilitate communication and improve territory wide service provision.

The clinician driven networks are patient focused with key objectives to:
- improve quality and access to clinical services
- further links with the surrounding NSW region through the development of networks
- assist and support service and asset planning.
