Consumer Feedback Standards
The ACT Health Consumer Feedback Standards guide health services in improving the quality and safety of our health services.
The Consumer Feedback Project developed the standards in collaboration with ACT consumers, health services, and the Community and Health Services Complaints Commissioner in 2002/03.
The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare has developed the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights for all people receiving, seeking or delivering health care in all settings in Australia.
The Charter summarises the basic rights that all patients and consumers are entitled to receive when accessing health care services:
A shared understanding of these rights between consumers and those working in health care contributes to the provision of safe and high quality care.

The Charter is available in alternative versions including audio and Braille and has been translated into a wide variety of community languages, which are available on the Commission’s Website.
